CD Cases Hold Multiple Compact Discs
Most people don't carry individual CD cases in their vehicles. Instead they use CD cases that hold multiple compact discs for easy access. I emptied all of my CD cases, and now they're in a single case that holds dozens of discs. When left with numerous empty CD cases I decided it was time to use them in creative ways instead of letting them collect dust in a cardboard box.
If you have empty CD cases that are just taking up space, give these creative ideas a try. If you never intend on using them to store compact discs these are the next best ways to use them. Best of all, they can be used to make unique gifts for many occasions. Artistic skills really aren't required!
Choose CD cases that aren't scratched, and remove any inserts. Replace the inserts with graphics found online, or cut a large poster into CD-size squares. Reassemble the picture on the wall, but leave about an inch of space in between. This is an ideal way to display a music group or a band poster with a CD theme in mind. Compact discs are lightweight and can easily be attached to the wall with removable poster putty.
Kids love making books, and empty CD cases make very sturdy book covers. Provide your kids with several pieces of paper that are just the right size to fold and attach to the inside of empty CD cases. The covers can be attached to the clear plastic with clear double-sided tape. These plastic covered books can be treasured forever, and they make fantastic personalized gifts for grandparents.
